I was so anticipating the news of this little one's arrival. He had been on my calendar for a few months and I was so excited to get to work with this family as his due date approached.
There are two majors things that I always say make for a great session: lighting and connection. And while this Mama and I commiserated about both owning an old, turn of the century house, I noted that one of my favorite things about working in older home with clients (and also why I live in one) are the windows and natural lighting. And on top of all the awesome lighting in their home, their nursery (and whole house!!) was like being in a design magazine! So much love went into creating warm and beautiful spaces for their boys to grow up in and I'm so happy that they'll always now have images in this house to remember these details.
And that second point about a great session-- connection? Well this family certainly provided me plenty of that as well! Such a beautiful, loving family that was so calm, gentle, funny, and inviting. Thank you for letting me document your transition to a family of four!
