I was lucky enough to photograph this family twice now; once in the fall for a mini session (he was my little lawn mowing boy that reminded me of my own son!) and they contacted me again to schedule an in-home newborn session once their newest little guy arrived this winter. I loved the "chill" nature of this family. When I reached out a few days before to confirm and asked if they wanted any more formal style individual baby shots (which I usually do a few of with some swaddles and a basket) Mom said no, they just wanted pure lifestyle shots and my heart jumped in excitement (Yay!!). So for them that meant playing trucks, legos, fireman, and lots of giggles with their oldest while the new little man just snuggled up the whole time.
One of the coolest things for me as a photographer offering natural light sessions is checking out the spaces in the home that lend the most toward unique, visually appealing shots that both use the available light AND have a specific, personalized feel for the family. I am totally obsessed with this family's mid-century modern style home and furniture ("We have a little furniture problem..." said Mom at one point, which made me laugh). It fits their family so perfectly in feel and style and I am so happy that I was able to give them a session that is so uniquely them as a new family of four.
Thank you so much for working with me again!
