Family Session in Charleston, SC: Philadelphia Family Photographer

My family is down in the Charleston area so I'm fortunate enough to get to take plenty of trips there with both my kids and camera in tow.  Before I went down, I reached out to my photographer friend that did an extended family session for us last year to see if I could take some shots of her family.  While we live in a (sometimes, depending on where we are) beautiful area, I wanted to be able to work with them in a setting that felt very...well, southern.  After some back and forth and even a last minute change of location, we picked a spot that was simply indescribable, Old Sheldon Church Ruins just outside of Beaufort, SC.

This incredibly loving family played tickle wars, danced, and played away while the sun decided to break through and give us some beautiful golden light when we feared we were going to get storms!  The bugs may have been biting, but you'd never know from the gorgeousness and love that emanates from these four.  Thank you so much for letting this Philadelphia family photographer scratch off a Southern-style family session her bucket list!

PS- Check out Lindsay Pennell's work (the mama featured here) of Taylor Grace Photography, if you're ever in the Charleston area and looking for a family photographer, she's amazing!
