If you haven't guessed by now, I adore breastfeeding sessions. I love how as a Philadelphia breastfeeding photographer, I have some amazing, unique locations that where I work. I love shooting them in-home for a more intimate feel (check out this in-home one!) and outdoors as well for some different locations, both open and more secluded. This session took place around Elkins Park in Montgomery county, just outside of the city (and fun fact, one of the oldest Philadelphia suburbs), where we have some beautiful parks and historic areas to work in, right here locally!
Regardless of the age of the little ones, breastfeeding photography sessions are always dictated by them! This little guy had just turned one and I had met his mom last year for a Mommy & Me session when he was just a few months old. I also got to do a full session for them at home over the summer, so this was our third time working together this winter when we did this shoot! We worked all around the Elkins Park train station and a local park. He was so proud of his newly learned walking skills and train watching, so his Mom tried sneaking in a few nursings here and there which we quickly had to work to get the images, which came out so beautifully. The session as a whole though so perfectly documented their incredible bond together, playing, train watching, practicing walking, and of course also breastfeeding.
