NICU grads have a place near and dear to my heart so I loved being able to capture this sweet little boy's early days home. Typically newborn photos are taken in the first ten days of life, but when you're a NICU family, sometimes that can't quite happen. That's why I love lifestyle sessions-- they go with the flow of your family despite the age and temperament of your little one and capture your newborn days as you'll actually remember them! And that means continuing to shoot while the baby eats, while he cries, while his parents try to soothe him, you get the idea. Two of my favorite photos from this session show the tenderness and care his parents showed while feeding (oh how those snappy bottles bring back memories!) and calming him. This little guy didn't sleep a wink for the few hours I spent with his family, I think he was just trying to show off those baby blues....
